12 killed, 20 injured in road accident in Tunisia

At least 12 people were killed and 20 others were injured in a road accident on Saturday morning in Tunisian central district of Sabala in Sidi Bouzid province, local media reported.

The fatal accident occurred after the collision between a truck carrying farm workers and a truck carrying poultry, Tunis Afrique Presse reported.

The report added that 11 people died on the spot, while a woman succumbed to her injuries when she was sent to Sidi Bouzid Regional Hospital.

The accident left 20 wounded, most of whom were transferred to the region's hospital.
