Traditional Silk Road Culture Academic Exchange Communication “From Chang'an to Kucha”

On September 2, the first advanced Chinese traditional Silk Road culture academic exchange communication "from Chang'an to Kucha" opening ceremony will be held in golden hall of Tang Dynasty West Market in Xi'an. More than ten well-known experts and scholars from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, including the Director of Buddhist studies, Buddhism, Religion, Fine Arts and other fields, gather together to conduct academic exchanges communication.

In order to dig Chinese traditional culture treasure, explore the root of Chinese culture, and promote the inheritance and development of traditional culture, China Internet Information Center, Shaanxi Convention and Exhibition Center, and Kucha Institute of Technology Xinjiang sponsor jointly to hold the first traditional Silk Road culture academic exchange communication “From Chang'an to Kucha”.

The theme of the meeting is "Return to the Original Heart and Re-read the Classics". The opening ceremony is hosted by Li Jianyi, the Deputy Director and Secretary-General of the Executive Committee of the Silk Road, Party Secretary and Director of Shaanxi Provincial Convention and Exhibition Center, Wu Yongtao, the Director of the National and Religious Committee of the Shaanxi CPPCC, Wang Xiaohui, the chief Editor of China.com.cn, Yang Zengwen, member of the honorary Department of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, former Director of the Buddhist research lab, and Xue Yin’e, the President of Shaanxi Charity Federation, will deliver a speech among "Return to the Original Heart and Re-read the Classics".

There will be two fantanstically interesting dialogues in the meeting. For the first dialogue, Tian Qing, the librarian of the Central Museum of Culture and History, the director of the Art Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Arts, Ding Fang, Dean of the Renaissance Institute of Renmin University of China, and Miao lihui, Director of Kucha Institute of Cultural Studies in Xinjiang will make a discussion to the topic of "How to Find the Desire Aspiration of Chinese Traditional Culture".

For the second dialogue, Wei Daoru, member of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Director of the Buddhist Research Center, Zhang Fenglei, Executive Director of the Institute of Buddhist and Religious Studies of Renmin University of China, Director of the Chinese Buddhist Association, Vice Director in the Office of Professional Committee of the Chinese Buddhist Association, Sexual Magician of the Abbot of Dalian Saint-Shui Temple, Shi Liwei, Dagong Religious Literature, the CEO of Chemicals Division, and Vice-Editor of takungpao.com, will make a discussion to the topic of "How to Reread Classics".

The Silk Road, which travers over 2000 years and spans dozens of countries in Europe, Asia and Africa, is a road of cultural exchange, national religions and splendid cultures in different countries. From Xi'an in Shaanxi Province (ancient Chang'an) to Kuqa in Xinjiang (ancient Kucha), a large number of ancient sites and cultural heritages have been left along the way, greatly enriching the connotation of traditional Chinese culture, which makes great importance of historical and cultural values in the history of human civilization in China and even all over the world.

This meeting explores and excavates the traditional Chinese cultural heritage, folk customs and religious sites along the route from Xi'an (ancient Chang'an) in Shaanxi Province to Kuqa (ancient Kuche) in Xinjiang, so that the world can read the Western parts as well as China, aiming to achieving the goal of "inheriting national culture, dedicating Chinese wisdom, blending ancient and modern learning from each other, and the harmony and coexistence of all things". Moreover, it will explore an Innovative development of a new type of high-quality tourism routes, promote economic development along the line, and enhance social harmony.
